About Us

The Whimsical Whippet & Kym

Kym’s journey began during a holiday in the picturesque Lake District in England. While there, she discovered the exquisite Pintail candles and a range of other luxury home fragrance products at a trade show. Inspired by their beauty and elegance, Kym knew that she had to share these luxury brands with her fellow South Africans. And so, The Whimsical Whippet was born.

 

The name of the company reflects Kym’s love for dogs and her British ancestry. She chose “Whimsical Whippet” because it perfectly encapsulated the unique nature, friendly personality, and stylish look of these beloved animals – qualities that also represent the aspirations she has for her shop.

 

Today, The Whimsical Whippet is proud to be the exclusive distributor of Shearer Candles from Glasgow, Stoneglow Candles from London, and Wax Lyrical Candles from the UK, bringing luxury home fragrance products to homes throughout South Africa
